Candler Co., GA (September 12, 2024) – Two people lost their lives as a result of a motor vehicle accident in Candler County. The incident took place at around 4:20 p.m. on September 11.
Reports show that a white Chevrolet pickup truck was traveling on Highway 46 when it collided with the sedan in the area near St. Matthews Church Road. The authorities arrived at the scene and immediately shut down the roadway to remove the involved vehicles. Emergency medical services were requested at the scene of the accident to care for injured victims. Two people involved in the accident were pronounced deceased at the scene as a result of their injuries. Both of the victims were in the sedan. The pickup truck driver was transported to Candler County Hospital for emergency treatment. No further information surrounding the accident is available. Investigations into the crash are currently underway by the Georgia State Patrol’s Specialized Collision and Reconstruction Team (SCRT).
