Clayton Co., GA (July 20, 2024) – Emergency crews were summoned to the scene of a crash in Clayton County that ended in injuries. The incident took place at around 5:15 p.m. on July 19.
According to police reports, a Clayton County deputy’s cruiser was struck by a vehicle on Forest Parkway near Southridge Parkway. The deputy’s car was occupied by two deputies and an inmate at the time of the crash. Authorities believe the driver of the second vehicle, a Lincoln, was under the influence at the time of the crash. About 45 minutes later, while responding to another accident, one of the deputies was struck by a Mitsubishi Outlander. The Deputy was hurt in the crash and transported to a local hospital for emergency care. At this time, the incident is being investigated.
