Alpharetta, GA (May 9, 2025) – Traffic on I-285 Northbound was significantly delayed Friday morning following a crash near Washington Road (Exit 1) that blocked two left lanes during the peak of the commute.
According to reports from WSB-TV and Georgia Department of Transportation footage, the collision occurred around 8:30 a.m. on the southwest portion of the Perimeter. First responders arrived quickly and worked to assess the scene and manage the traffic flow. It is currently unclear how many vehicles were involved or whether there were injuries, though delays continued through the late morning hours.
As crews worked to clear the roadway, drivers in the area experienced backups and were urged to use caution or seek alternate routes.
