Alpharetta, GA (May 12, 2025) – Drivers heading north on I-85 experienced delays Monday morning following a crash just past Senoia Road (Exit 61) that shut down the left lane.
The incident occurred shortly after 8:00 a.m., during peak commute time. According to WSB-TV and Georgia DOT traffic reports, the crash caused congestion as vehicles merged into the remaining open lanes. Emergency crews responded to the scene, though there has been no confirmation yet regarding the number of vehicles involved or whether any injuries occurred.
As of now, the left lane remains blocked, and no estimate has been provided for when it will reopen. Traffic remains slow through the area as the investigation and cleanup continue.
Our thoughts are with those involved, and we hope anyone injured receives timely care and a full recovery.
