Alpharetta, GA (April 29, 2025) – A collision occurred earlier today at the intersection of Windward Parkway and North Point Parkway in Alpharetta, Georgia, injuring two drivers. The incident took place around 3:00 p.m., involving a black Chevrolet Camaro and a gray Honda Accord.
Reports indicate that the Chevrolet Camaro was traveling southbound on North Point Parkway and ran a red light at the intersection with Windward Parkway. The driver of the Honda Accord, which was traveling west on Windward Parkway, attempted to make a left turn when the Camaro collided with the passenger side of the Accord. The force of the crash caused the Honda Accord to spin and hit the nearby curb. The driver of the Honda Accord, a 47-year-old woman, sustained injuries to her leg and shoulder and was transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment. The driver of the Chevrolet Camaro, a 32-year-old man, sustained minor injuries and was treated at the scene.
The Alpharetta Police Department is investigating the cause of the crash. Preliminary reports suggest that the driver of the Chevrolet Camaro may have been distracted or failed to notice the red light, which caused the collision. Traffic was temporarily delayed for about 40 minutes while authorities cleared the wreckage and restored normal traffic flow.
