According to official reports, a motorcycle and an SUV collided on Reese Road near Macon Road. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway for an extended period. One person involved in the crash, identified as 57-year-old Edith Opry, was severely hurt in the crash. She was rushed to an area hospital, where she died from her injuries.
