Gainesville, GA (June 10, 2024) – One person was transported to a local hospital with injuries as a result of an automobile accident on Monday morning, June 10.
According to local news sources, an individual was struck by a vehicle on Interstate 985 near the Elachee Drive Bridge. The pedestrian, who has not been identified, was seriously injured. The victim was transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center for emergency care. The incident prompted the closure of the roadway for several hours. The Georgia State Patrol is currently investigating.
