Tallulah Falls, GA (July 15, 2024) – An automobile accident reported north of Clarksville left several people injured. Authorities were called to the scene of the accident on Friday afternoon, July 12.
Official reports indicate that a 57-year-old man, who was identified as Jeffery Moss, was traveling east on historic Highway 441 in a Ford Ranger. For reasons unknown, he ran a stop sign at the intersection with Georgia Highway 15. As a result, his vehicle collided with a Jeep Grand Cherokee, which was being driven by 77-year-old Ferd Kilby. Both Moss and Kilby were injured in the accident. One additional victim, identified as 77-year-old Darlene Kilby, was also injured. All three victims were transported to Northeast Georgia Medical Center in Gainesville, Georgia, by Habersham EMS. Moss was later charged with stopping in a prohibited place, open container, and failure to stop at a stop sign. At this time, the incident is under investigation.
